Mark Wahlberg is a famous entertainment superstar. He grew up in a large working class family in Dorchester, Massachusetts and had numerous confrontations with the law. His bad boy image was harnessed to promote his music group Marky Mark and the Funky Band which enjoyed success at the top of the Billboard 100 during the early 90s. As a rapper he was known for showing off his physique which later brought Mark work as the male model for Calvin Klein underwear. Then in 1993 Mark began his acting career with his appearance in the TV movie The Substitute. He has gone on to become an increasingly successful actor, garnering several prestigious nominations and awards.
